Book of Memories for Donald Ray "D.R." Roberts

As I look back over my life one teacher stands head and shoulders above the rest - D.R. Roberts. I visited Batesville in 2002. I contacted one of my old classmates and asked him to arrange a lunch. I insisted that D.R. Roberts attend. During lunch he looked at me with a smile and said, " I wondered what became of you. Looks like you turned out okay". I'll be seeing you again one day my friend.

We are so sorry for your loss. We both had him in high school and if you did not have the privilege of him as a teacher you missed a great opportunity of having a wonderful and caring teacher. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To Mr. Roberts' family. I can honestly say that I cared VERY LITTLE for Mr. Roberts' 'bugs', but I adored him as a teacher. ...even after his having given me an "F" for calling a particular 'insect' a 'bug'....he was still one of the best teachers I had during my years at Batesville High School. He loved us kids and made us 'toe the mark' and we are all the better for having been in his class. I know you will miss him so very much. we will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
