I worked with Barbara as a nurse at UT C&Y clinic in the1980s. I remember her being very smart and very sweet. She loved talking care of patients and she truly loved her family. Her parents, Joe, Rhonda, Ann and her doggies were talked about lovingly often. Barbara left her mark on this Earth as a God sent person. I know there are many lives changed for the better because of Barbara. I will always remember her. I have a Smurf quilt that she made for my son born in 1983 as well as a Children's Bible that she gave him. Rest in peace, Barbara. Job well done.

I am so very so for your loss. Mrs. Manning will always have a special place in my heart. She had a way to make you feel confidence just when you thought about giving up. I am a better nurse because of her compassion. She was an inspiration to our profession.

Barbra was such a gentle welcoming soul . We first met at UT Martin and I was fortunate to cross paths with her many years later at the Med. She contributed so much by sharing her knowledge with her students And caring for our four footed friends, touching so many with her works. What memories she made.
